A Scent Inspired by Abbasid History
CZAR Fragrances is excited to announce the relaunch of a beloved fragrance. Previously known as “Rose,” this perfume has been newly named “Hijri”, created in partnership with the famous master perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer, “Hijri” brings a fresh and historical story to a favorite scent.
The new name “Hijri” is directly inspired by the rich history of the Abbasid empire, specifically around the year 132 Hijri. During this golden age in Baghdad, leaders and elites wore a legendary, luxurious perfume called “AlGhalia” to show their high status. CZAR renamed this fragrance to connect its beautiful smell with this grand history.

“Working with Nathalie Feisthauer helped us perfectly capture this feeling of ancient luxury while keeping the scent modern and wearable,” said a CZAR spokesperson.

The Scent Profile:
The “Hijri” perfume keeps the same beautiful smell that fans of “Rose” loved, but now it carries the spirit of ancient Baghdad.
Top Notes: The scent starts with a warm and rich touch of Saffron.
Middle Notes: At its heart, “Hijri” smells like beautiful, classic Rose mixed with soft, powdery floral notes.
Base Notes: The scent settles into a deep mix of rich Woods, Patchouli, warm Vanilla, and strong Musk. This blend matches the grand style of ancient perfumes like “AlGhalia.”
“Hijri” comes in CZAR’s signature clear glass bottle with a simple, clean label and a classic black cap, perfectly showing off the beautiful perfume inside.
