In this exclusive interview with CP Magazine, Alanoud shares her creative journey, inspirations and ambitions for the future of Saphir.

To begin, tell us a little about yourself. Who is Alanoud Aldosari beyond Saphir?
I am a creative person who believes in continuous growth, innovation and creating beauty in everything I do. Whether through floral design or event planning, I always strive to create meaningful experiences, leave a beautiful impression and transform every occasion into a memorable one.
What early experiences shaped your creative personality?
From a young age, I loved art, creativity and working with colours. My passion for design and attention to detail grew over time and eventually led me to floral design and event planning, where I enjoy turning ideas into beautiful and memorable experiences.
What did you study, and how has your educational background influenced your work today?
I studied Art Education and worked as an art teacher, so colours, creativity and design have always been a part of my life. This artistic background continues to influence my work today. I also completed floral design courses in the United States, and floral styling quickly became a true passion of mine. Combining art with flowers allows me to create beautiful and meaningful experiences for my clients.
Why did you choose the name “Saphir”, and what does it represent to you?
I chose the name Saphir because it represents elegance, beauty and rarity. It reflects my passion for creating unique and memorable floral designs and experiences.
Saphir describes itself through luxury, floral artistry and styling. How would you define the brand in your own words?
I see Saphir as a brand that brings together art, flowers and elegance. My goal is to create designs that reflect beauty, tell a story and make every occasion feel truly special.

Flowers are central to your identity. What is it about florals that emotionally connects with you?
Flowers bring me peace and positivity. They lift my mood, inspire me and help me let go of negative energy.
Your work often feels highly personalised. How do you make sure no two events feel the same?
Every client is unique, so I create each design to reflect their personality, style and vision. This ensures that every event feels personal and distinctive.
You once expressed the idea that every flower tells a different story. How does storytelling influence your creative process?
For me, every floral design tells a story. I use flowers, colours and thoughtful details to express emotions and create a unique experience that reflects the occasion and the people behind it.
How would you describe your personal design style in three words?
Sophisticated, artistic and timeless.
When creating for a client, where do you usually begin: the client’s personality, the venue, colour or emotion?
I usually begin with the client’s personality and preferred colours. Understanding their style and preferences helps me create a design that feels personal, authentic and truly reflective of who they are.
What has been the most challenging event or installation you have worked on so far?
One of the most challenging and meaningful projects I have worked on was my sister’s wedding. Because it was such a personal event, I wanted every detail to be perfect. Managing the floral designs, styling and overall vision while being emotionally involved was both exciting and challenging. In the end, seeing everything come together and making her day special was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

Luxury event styling requires balancing beauty with logistics. How do you manage both sides of the business?
I believe that a successful event requires both creativity and careful planning. While I focus on creating beautiful designs, I also pay close attention to timelines, organisation and every detail behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What details do people usually overlook that you believe make all the difference?
I believe the smallest details make the biggest difference. Elements such as colour harmony, flower placement, proportions and the overall flow of the design are often overlooked, but they are what make a design feel elegant and complete.
Weddings are deeply emotional occasions. How do you handle the pressure of creating unforgettable moments?
I see it as both a responsibility and an honour. I focus on understanding the couple’s vision, planning every detail carefully and giving my full attention to the event. Seeing their happiness at the end makes all the effort worthwhile.
How would you describe the current evolution of event styling and floral design in Kuwait?
I believe the event styling and floral design industry in Kuwait has evolved significantly in recent years. Clients are becoming more creative and detail-oriented, with a growing appreciation for personalised designs and unique experiences.
Have international trends influenced your work, or do you intentionally preserve a regional identity?
International trends inspire me and help me stay creative, but I always make sure to incorporate my own signature style into every project.

What are some misconceptions people have about luxury event styling?
Many people think luxury event styling is only about expensive flowers and decorations. In reality, it is about creativity, attention to detail, careful planning and creating a unique experience that reflects the client’s vision.
Looking ahead, what ambitions do you have for Saphir over the next five years?
Over the next five years, my ambition is to grow Saphir into a globally recognised floral and event styling brand. I hope to work on international projects, collaborate with leading luxury brands and showcase my creative vision to audiences around the world.
What are your other hobbies?
Besides floral design, I enjoy reading, photography and the arts. Recently, I have also developed an interest in golf, which has become a new hobby of mine. I enjoy activities that inspire creativity, focus and personal growth.
