As representatives of CP magazine, our team of four colleagues embarked on a gastronomic adventure during our recent trip to Dubai. In search of something extraordinary, we were recommended to explore the hidden gem of TAHINI restaurant, a culinary oasis inspired by the rich heritage of Levantine cuisine. Nestled in the heart of Dubai, this exquisite eatery promised to take us on a soulful journey through the traditional flavors of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. The allure of this Levantine treasure beckoned us to its doors, eager to savor the unique dishes, sumptuous desserts, and warm hospitality that awaited us.

Levantine cuisine, deeply rooted in the culinary traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean, embodies a tapestry of history, culture, and exquisite flavors. The Zaatar Burrata showcased TAHINI’s culinary ingenuity, skillfully blending creamy burrata cheese with the boldness of zaatar spices. This fusion of Mediterranean and Levantine flavors resulted in a unique appetizer that left an indelible impression.

The Pumpkin Zaatar Manoushe was a delightful revelation, capturing the essence of Levantine flatbreads with the addition of earthy pumpkin and aromatic zaatar. Its soft texture and harmonious flavors made it an instant favorite.

The Kishk & Cheese Manoushe provided a taste of tradition, featuring the tangy richness of fermented yogurt and wheat, beautifully balanced with the indulgence of cheese. A perfect harmony of flavors awaited in each bite.

TAHINI’s salads transported us to the sun-kissed lands of the Levant with their invigorating flavors. The Fantouch, a creative twist on the classic Fattoush Salad, offered a refreshing medley of fresh vegetables paired with crispy sumac-seasoned pita chips, culminating in a delightful textural symphony.

The Tomato Cheesecake, a testament to TAHINI’s innovative spirit, blended the velvety richness of cheesecake with the tangy essence of tomatoes. This creative fusion delivered a surprisingly delightful interplay of sweet and savory notes.

The Creamy Dreamy Hummus with white miso and pine nuts was a revelation of flavors. The velvety hummus, elevated by the miso’s umami essence, paired beautifully with the nutty crunch of pine nuts and fried bread, creating a dish that tantalized the palate.

The Mouhammara, featuring a delightful blend of walnuts and red peppers seasoned with Levantine spices, proved to be an irresistible dip. Its richness and subtle spiciness were a perfect accompaniment to the freshly baked flatbreads.

The Batata Harra offered a nostalgic taste of comfort with its tender potato cubes seasoned to perfection. The medley of Middle Eastern spices conjured memories of home-cooked meals, making it an instant favorite.

The Burghul Salmon, meticulously cooked to perfection, stood out as a symphony of flavors. The flaky salmon, nestled atop a bed of nutty burghul and a selection of herbs, captivated with its subtle yet gratifying taste.

The Char-Grilled Lamb Chops were a gastronomic masterpiece, grilled to succulent perfection and seasoned with an exquisite blend of spices. The mustard miso sauce added a delightful depth of flavor to this premium dish.

The Levantine Spiced Beef Tenderloin Skewers showcased the culinary prowess of TAHINI’s chefs. Tender and succulent, these skewers were expertly marinated with Levantine spices, offering a remarkable burst of flavors.

The Herbal Lemon Garlic Chicken Skewers provided a lighter yet equally delectable option. The tender chicken, infused with herbal and citrus notes, made each bite a refreshing delight.

The Lemon Basil Spritz greeted our palates with its zesty combination of lemon and aromatic basil, offering a refreshing and invigorating start to our meal.

The Ginger Blossom Fizz intrigued with its enchanting blend of spicy ginger and delicate floral undertones, creating a harmonious balance of flavors.

The Berry Ginger Mocktail pleased with its vibrant fusion of berry flavors and the subtle warmth of ginger, a delightful concoction that quenched our thirst and complemented the diverse array of dishes.

As our dining adventure reached its sweet finale, TAHINI’s dessert offerings continued to mesmerize. The Pistachio & Rose Water Cake was a poetic creation that embodied the essence of the Levantine spirit. Each bite revealed the delicate fragrance of rose water dancing in harmony with the rich nuttiness of pistachio, a delightful symphony of taste and aroma.

The Olive Oil Cake provided a Mediterranean-inspired delight. Moist and velvety, the cake showcased the subtle notes of olive oil, expertly combined to create a dessert that was both indulgent and unique.

The Tahini Halva, a signature Levantine sweet, was a fitting tribute to the restaurant’s namesake. The halva’s sumptuous sweetness, heightened by the nutty allure of tahini, left us enchanted with this classic delicacy.
