Agility, a supply chain services, infrastructure and innovation company, announced the successful conclusion of Kuwait Codes and Academy X’s first cohort, Agility is sponsoring two coding programs and bootcamps this year for over 1,300 students as part of the company’s commitment to advancing tech education in Kuwait.
Agility has renewed support for CODED, a local tech training organization in Kuwait that provides bootcamp-style software development training. As a strategic sponsor of CODED, Agility is funding two programs:
- Kuwait Codes aims to provide crucial programming skills to more than 1,000 high school students. Kuwait Codes provides students with the fundamentals of programming across diverse coding languages and for different in-demand applications, including app building, web development, gaming, information security, and others. The course also serves as a foundation for those taking advanced training programs.
- Agility is also supporting CODED’s Academy X, which is designed to introduce 300 female students to coding and inspire a new generation of female tech innovators. Academy X was piloted last year by 100 young female students and is now in its first full-run. Academy X teaches modern programming basics. The curriculum includes building applications using AI, lessons on leveraging technology in entrepreneurship, and other vital skills that equip students for the job market.
Both initiatives started last month and provide free training in modern programming languages and techniques.
“Our continued investment in capacity-building programs reflects Agility’s commitment to Kuwait’s youth. We want to help equip them with the essential skills needed for today’s job market. We are proud to have made a positive impact on more than 7,000 students, over half of whom are young women ready to launch their careers. Our support for Kuwait Codes 2024 and the launch of Academy X underscores our commitment to the next generation of tech talent in Kuwait,” said Henadi Al Saleh, Chairperson of Agility.
