General Motors is celebrating record-breaking momentum in Kuwait’s pickup segment, with Chevrolet and GMC trucks driving an 18% year-on-year sales increase across the region. The brand is marking this success with the launch of Chevrolet and GMC Truck Mania, highlighting the country’s growing role in shaping Gulf truck culture especially among women and younger drivers.

Running from 13 August to 13 September across Kuwait and the wider GCC, Truck Mania brings hot offers on the popular Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, GMC Canyon, and the all-electric GMC HUMMER SUT*. Shoppers in Kuwait will enjoy immersive showroom experiences, including tailored test drives for both road and off-road, personalized consultations, and seasonal value offers to get them behind the wheel before the region’s peak outdoor season.
Kuwait stands out as a leader in shifting demographics within the full-size pickup market. Women now represent 13% of all GM truck owners in the country – the highest proportion in the GCC driven by strong demand for safety, commanding driving positions, versatile utility, and bold styling. Repeat ownership is particularly high among middle-aged Kuwaiti women aged 30 to 49 for the Chevrolet Silverado, while younger Kuwaiti women aged 20 to 29 are showing rapidly rising interest, mirroring regional off-road lifestyle trends.

Among male buyers, the Chevrolet Silverado continues to draw repeat purchases from Kuwait’s truck loyalists, while the GMC Sierra is emerging as a popular choice for younger first-time buyers. This is part of a wider generational shift, with youth now accounting for 20–35% of GM’s truck customer base across the Gulf in recent years.
