Hello, I am Rumy Al-Qahtani, the first Miss Saudi Arabia.
Tell us about your education.
I am a Dental Hygienist.
How and when did you get interested in modeling?
Before I started studying at the university, I was nominated to present fashion under the supervision of Her Highness Princess Seetah bint Abdullah.
How was your first modeling experience?
It was an amazing feeling.
How did you get interested in beauty pageants, and how did it all start?
It started in the year 2021. I was nominated by the international Miss Arab competition, becoming the first Saudi woman to be nominated. I won the title of Miss Arab Peace.
You have won so many beauty pageants; which ones are your most memorable?
Of course, my first one is the most memorable. The joy I felt and the opportunity to meet beautiful women from different Arab countries made it unforgettable.
How does it feel to win a crown?
It’s an indescribable feeling. I felt that I belonged and wanted to continue. Now I have the ambition and passion to achieve even more.
How was it participating in such pageants as a young woman from the Arab world?
At first, I hesitated, but with the cultural development and increased awareness in Arab countries, I felt excited to seize this opportunity. I wanted to open doors for myself and the women of my country in this field.
How do you deal with the pressure of competition?
I don’t feel pressured. In my opinion, it’s not just a competition but a wonderful opportunity to meet women and people from different nationalities, learn about their cultures, and share our Arab culture with them.
What kind of special preparations do you do before each contest?
Like any woman, I maintain my health and fitness, ensuring I am always in good shape. Sometimes I receive nominations or communications at very short notice, so I focus on staying healthy, getting enough sleep, and being mentally prepared.
How supportive is your family, and what is their reaction to your achievements?
My family is my biggest support. They feel immense pride in my achievements.
What is the first thing that you do after winning a crown?
I celebrate with my family.
What is next for you? What can we expect from you next?
I am working on filming a Saudi movie and participating in the Miss World contest.

Your favourite travel destination and why?
Dubai, my second home.
What do you do to relax or unwind from a busy day?
I take a hot shower.
Your beauty and fitness regime?
Healthy eating, regular exercise, and drinking plenty of water.
What are some of your other hobbies?
Horse riding and playing the violin.

You are more beautiful than you think, hard to break, amazing, and different. Always be yourself.
How was your experience at the Miss World Contest?
It was a unique experience. The dream that was yesterday has become a reality today.
What is one thing that you learned during the contest that you didn’t know before?
I learned about the cultures of countries I had not known before and made new friends from all over the world.
What is your new goal now?
To participate in the Miss Ladies Contest in Dubai.
Your advice for other participants looking to go for the Miss World Contest?
Pursue your dreams, no matter how difficult they seem. The most important thing is reaching the top, my beautiful lady.
