Can you tell us about your background and where you grew up?
Well, I design interiors, I love my profession, and I grew up in Alexandria, Egypt.

What initially sparked your interest in interior design?
I’ve never really thought about this question. I believe I was just aware of my natural gift. I’ve always had a strong sense of art—music, photography, sketching—and I realized at some point that I could bring all of that together in interior design.

Where did you study, and how did your education shape your design philosophy?
I studied Fine Arts – Interior Design Department at Alexandria University.
Education is great for learning the basics and understanding the big picture. It’s important, but it’s just the beginning. The world outside the classroom teaches you far more than theory ever could.

What drew you specifically to luxury interiors as a focus?
Actually, my focus is on commercial projects in general, not necessarily luxury.
I design restaurants, beauty salons, clinics, cafes, and more. Some may be luxury and others not—but what drew me in is the belief that my lines and design language can help project owners. I can boost their business, help their space stand out, and create impact.

How did your journey with Arteon Interiors begin?
I’m still packing my bag! This is just the beginning! I’m excited for what’s ahead.

What is the core philosophy behind Arteon Interiors’ design approach?
Everything becomes more beautiful with a glimpse of art! That’s the common element in all of our designs. Our interiors are always artistic, iconic, unforgettable, functional, and eye-catching.

How do you describe your personal aesthetic or design signature?
I’ve developed a design style that people often recognize before I even post it—which I consider one of the biggest compliments as a designer and that makes me very happy.

Can you walk us through your typical design process from concept to completion?
We begin by listening and understanding the client’s needs and initial vision. I sketch out what I visualize, then move on to space planning and 3D renderings. After that, we prepare detailed shop drawings, the BOQ, and FF&E selections. Finally, we collaborate with contractors to bring everything to life—then we celebrate the launch and capture the results.

Which project are you most proud of and why?
Always the next one! I like to challenge myself again and again.

What has been the most challenging project in your career so far?
My own home—haha!

How do you balance creativity with client expectations?
It’s never really been an issue. Most of our clients come to us because they love what we do and ask for our creativity.

What design elements or materials are you most drawn to these days?
I like to experiment and try new things, so there’s nothing specific I’m fixed on at the moment.

What has been the most rewarding moment of your career to date?
The most rewarding moments are when I reflect on how many lives a single project touches. From our team and contractors to suppliers and end-users—it all begins with a simple sketch. Knowing that my work has a ripple effect is both humbling and inspiring.
It makes me incredibly happy to feel valuable and inspiring to others. I think that’s meaningful. The influence is real—and I learn a lot through it.

Outside of interior design, what are some of your personal hobbies or passions?
I produce Hip-Hop and R&B music, and I do sound engineering (mixing and mastering).
I’m passionate about aviation knowledge, and my main sport is table tennis.

What’s a quote or mantra you live by in your personal or professional life?
“باب النجار مخلع”
Totally me! I design for everyone but still find it extremely hard to design for myself.

What advice would you give to aspiring interior designers in the Middle East?
Develop your own style, follow your dreams—And yes—connect with me on Instagram!

How do you manage your time across multiple cities and projects?
There’s no set formula. We adjust our time depending on project needs.
We fly in to supervise projects personally—I enjoy watching my visions come to life.

What’s a dream project or client you’d love to work with one day?
Any project that’s done right is a dream project to me. It doesn’t matter who it’s for—it just needs to be impactful.

How would you like your work to be remembered or defined in the design world?
Original and ahead of its time—hopefully!
