Can you tell us how your journey as a makeup artist began? What inspired you to pursue this path?
My journey as a makeup artist started with a love for creativity and self-expression. I was always drawn to how makeup could transform not just a look, but someone’s confidence. What inspired me most was seeing how even the smallest touch like a bit of glow or a defined brow could make someone feel like the best version of themselves. That connection between beauty and emotion is what made me pursue this path professionally.
How would you describe your signature style in makeup artistry? What makes your approach unique?
My signature style is all about enhancing natural beauty with a polished, modern touch. I focus on radiant skin, soft definition, and looks that feel effortless yet elevated. What makes my approach unique is how I tailor each look to the individual, it’s never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand my client’s features, personality, and vision, so the result feels authentic and empowering.
What is your creative process when you receive a new client brief or request? How do you translate their vision into a makeup look?
My creative process always starts with listening. I begin by understanding the client’s vision, whether it’s through conversation, inspiration images, or mood boards. I ask about the occasion, their personal style, and how they want to feel. From there, I start building a look that balances their preferences with my expertise, considering skin tone, features, and the overall vibe. I stay flexible during application, making adjustments as we go to ensure the final result feels true to them. It’s all about collaboration and creating a look that feels both beautiful and personal.

In your Instagram bio, it says you focus on confidence and empowerment through beauty. Can you elaborate on what that means to you and how it shows up in your work?
For me, beauty is about more than just how you look, it’s how you feel. My goal is to help every client feel confident, empowered, and truly seen. Whether it’s a bold look or something soft and natural, I tailor each application to reflect their unique energy and style.
What are some of the most challenging makeup looks or clients you’ve worked with, and how did you overcome those challenges?
The most challenging looks often involve sensitive skin or clients wanting a big transformation while still feeling like themselves. I overcome this by carefully selecting gentle products, staying flexible, and keeping open communication to ensure comfort and confidence throughout the process.
How do you keep up with trends in makeup and beauty, especially given how fast things change?
I stay current with makeup trends by regularly following industry leaders, attending workshops, and watching tutorials from top artists worldwide. I also experiment with new products and techniques on myself and clients to see what works best. But while trends inspire me, I always prioritise what suits each person’s unique features and style because timeless beauty is about authenticity, not just following the latest craze.

What are some tools or products you can’t work without, and why are they essential to your kit?
Some essential tools I can’t work without are a good set of blending brushes, they’re key for seamless transitions and natural finishes. I also rely on a versatile foundation that works well on different skin types and tones, plus a quality setting spray to ensure longevity. These essentials help me create polished, long-lasting looks that feel comfortable and fresh on the skin.
Beauty standards are constantly evolving. What does ‘beauty’ mean to you, and how do you hope your work contributes to people’s perceptions of beauty?
Beauty, to me, is authenticity and confidence. I aim to help people celebrate their unique features and feel empowered in their own skin. Makeup is about highlighting who you are, not changing you.
Are there any beauty trends you’re particularly excited about right now? And conversely, any you wish would go away?
I’m really excited about the shift towards natural, glowing skin and clean beauty products, it feels fresh and empowering. I love how people are embracing their unique features and opting for minimal, enhancing looks. On the flip side, I wish the overly heavy, cakey makeup trend would fade away. It can mask natural beauty and sometimes feels less comfortable for clients. I always encourage looks that let the skin breathe and shine through.

Do you collaborate with other artists, brands, or influencers? What do you look for in such collaborations?
Absolutely! I really enjoy teaming up with other artists, brands, and influencers. I look for people who are passionate, authentic, and open to creative ideas. Collaborations are a great way to learn from each other, try new things, and create looks that really connect with people.
Given your experience, how do you see the beauty industry evolving in Lebanon and the wider Middle East over the next few years?
The beauty industry in Lebanon and the Middle East is growing fast, blending rich cultural traditions with modern innovation. There’s a big focus on personalised, clean, and sustainable beauty products, especially among younger consumers. Skincare is booming, and ethical brands are gaining popularity. It’s an exciting time to be part of this evolving and diverse market.
What advice would you give to someone in Kuwait (or the GCC) wanting to follow in your footsteps, makeup artist, content creator, or beauty entrepreneur?
My advice would be to stay true to yourself and your unique style. The beauty industry is competitive, but authenticity always stands out. Build your skills constantly, whether through courses, practice, or watching others and don’t be afraid to experiment and find your niche. Networking is key, so connect with other artists and creators in your region and beyond. Most importantly, be patient and persistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but passion and hard work will get you there.
What are some of your achievements?
Some of my proudest achievements include working with diverse clients across weddings, editorial shoots, and commercial campaigns. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known brands and influencers, which has helped me grow both creatively and professionally. Additionally, building a loyal client base who trust me to bring their vision to life is something I truly value. Each project is a milestone in my journey as a makeup artist.

What are your other hobbies?
Outside of makeup, I’m really passionate about anything creative. I love photography and content creation because they let me explore beauty from a different perspective. I also enjoy travelling and discovering new cultures, it inspires a lot of my looks. And when I’m not working, I love reading, fitness, and spending time with friends and family to recharge.
