In the vibrant heart of Doha, CZAR Fragrances didn’t just launch a perfume they launched an Extraît de Parfum. The new scent, named “Trend,” made its grand debut at the prestigious Teeb AlHazm Perfume Expo in Qatar, instantly becoming one of the expo’s biggest highlights. The premiere runs from November 25 through December 6, 2025.
“Trend” is the latest jewel in CZAR’s acclaimed Designer Collection, marking an audacious evolution in contemporary perfumery. It is a fragrance of impact, modernity, and irresistible elegance.

The Rising Star Behind the Scent
The electricity surrounding “Trend” is largely due to its creator: the young French perfumer, Antoine Cotton. CZAR chose to collaborate with him because “true vision recognizes potential before the spotlight does”.
Cotton represents a new generation of French perfumers who honor the grand traditions of Grasse while embracing contemporary innovation. His formal training at the prestigious École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris provided the technical foundation. Cotton’s work on TREND benefits from the global expertise of Argeville, one of the world’s most respected fragrance and flavor houses.

What was your first impression when you received the brief for “Trend”?
First and foremost, I’m truly delighted to express my signature through the Designer Collection, through a bold, contemporary, and universal signature.

How would you describe the creative journey of developing this fragrance?
The creative journey of developing ‘Trend’ was to work on a concise, high-impact formula that eschews unnecessary complexity in favor of pure, resonant beauty, where every ingredient reveals its unique character with great authenticity. Not like a passing fad, but something trendy with strong impact and a universal spirit.
What inspired the olfactive structure of “Trend”?
Conceived as an olfactory aura, this creation pays tribute to the noble iris18. The composition opens with an effervescent burst of bright citruses, including mandarin and lemon 19, lifted by the crisp green facets of rhubarb and the resinous sparkle of elemi. Aldehydes add that champagne-like fizz that elevates the juicy sweetness of apple. Its heart reveals luminous orrisand orange blossom, energized by aromatic herbs like rosemary, thyme, and mint. The base weaves patchouli, cedarwood, incense, vanilla, and tonka bean24, creating that irresistible warmth that draws people closer.

Which notes resonate with you personally?
Citrus, aromatic herbs, and orange blossom, ingredients tied to my Southern French heritage25. Iris and incense also bring a depth I love working with.
How do you balance creativity with commercial appeal?
It’s the balance between artistry and market understanding, evoking emotions while staying connected to what people gravitate toward. Innovation must stand out, yet feel familiar.
What emotions do you hope wearers feel?
A sense of surprise, a distinctive aura with a trendy sillage that leaves a warm, memorable trail on skin or clothes. I aim to evoke surprise through a distinctive aura a memorable, sensual trail.
What was the biggest challenge in creating this scent?
Blending a familiar structure with novelty, achieved through the contrast of warm, sensual amber and cool aromatic freshness. TREND is about impact, long-lastingness, and elegance a familiar structure enhanced with deep contrast.
