JETOUR Global Travel+ Conference 2024: A Journey Through Innovation and Experience

 

In early November 2024, we embarked on an extraordinary journey to Fuzhou, China, invited by Budastoor Group, the official representatives of JETOUR in Kuwait, to attend the JETOUR Global Travel+ Conference 2024. Led by Rexzcy Williams, Brand Manager of Budastoor Group, and Arshad Mirza, the General Manager, the trip was a meticulously planned experience that promised more than just corporate networking—it was a celebration of JETOUR’s pioneering Travel+ philosophy, seamlessly blending automotive innovation with a passion for travel and culture.

Our delegation also included Mr. Jameel Arif, Founder and CEO of CP magazine, along with a photographer tasked with capturing the unique moments of the journey. Additionally, we were accompanied by a few selected JETOUR customers from Kuwait and other media representatives, making the group a diverse and vibrant mix of enthusiasts and professionals. Representing one of Kuwait’s leading lifestyle publications, we were thrilled to join such a distinguished group and explore the synergy between technology, lifestyle, and global culture, all under the visionary umbrella of JETOUR.

We left Kuwait on November 5, flying via Shanghai to the bustling city of Fuzhou, the heart of JETOUR’s operations. Upon landing, JETOUR representatives greeted us with warm smiles and efficient transport arrangements, which set the tone for what would be a seamless and immersive experience.

Our arrival at the Fuzhou Marriott Hotel Riverside was like stepping into a festival of innovation. The hotel was transformed into a JETOUR haven, with branded flags fluttering, banners adorning every corner, and an impressive display of JETOUR’s T1 and T2 models in the driveway. These sleek vehicles, embodying a fusion of design and functionality, were a testament to the brand’s engineering prowess.

The hotel lobby buzzed with activity as representatives from over 60 countries mingled. A large signature wall became the centerpiece, inviting attendees to leave their mark on this global event. Signing our names as representatives of Kuwait felt momentous, a small gesture of solidarity in a diverse and dynamic gathering.

After a smooth check-in, we were handed media kits, a welcome gift, and personalized badges, ensuring we felt part of the JETOUR family. Dinner that evening was an elaborate buffet on the second floor of the hotel. With dishes ranging from traditional Chinese delicacies to international favorites, it was a culinary adventure that set the stage for the global diversity we would experience over the coming days.

 

Manufacturing Excellence at the JETOUR Factory

Our second day in Fuzhou unfolded with a much-anticipated visit to the JETOUR Factory, a remarkable glimpse into the future of automotive manufacturing. After a peaceful morning and a hearty breakfast, we embarked on a scenic drive to the outskirts of the city, where the factory stood as a beacon of innovation. The sleek, futuristic architecture of the complex was immediately striking, reflecting the cutting-edge technology housed within its walls.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by JETOUR representatives, who led us into the visitor center. Here, a concise presentation walked us through JETOUR’s illustrious history, underscoring its rise as a global automotive powerhouse and a trailblazer in blending modern technology with customer-centric values. Safety was a top priority, and before stepping onto the factory floor, we were issued high-visibility jackets, protective goggles, and helmets. A detailed briefing outlined the protocols we needed to follow, preparing us to navigate this dynamic environment safely.

Once inside, the factory came alive with an orchestra of movement and precision. It was immediately clear that this was not an ordinary assembly line; it was a sophisticated symphony of advanced robotics and human ingenuity working in perfect harmony. The welding section was our first stop, where an array of robotic arms executed their tasks with breathtaking precision. Sparks flew as these machines performed intricate welds, fusing metal components with millimeter accuracy. Their synchronized movements were mesmerizing, and the sheer efficiency they brought to the process was awe-inspiring.

As we moved further along the production line, the integration of human expertise and robotic systems became even more evident. Robots were tasked with assembling critical vehicle components, from engines to advanced electronic systems. These intelligent machines, equipped with high-tech sensors and vision-guided programming, flawlessly executed tasks that demanded meticulous accuracy. Human technicians complemented these processes, lending their expertise to ensure the final product adhered to JETOUR’s rigorous quality standards.

The factory’s reliance on AI-driven diagnostic tools was another impressive aspect. These systems monitored every stage of production in real time, scanning for deviations and ensuring any issues were rectified immediately. It was clear that this proactive approach not only minimized errors but also enhanced the overall efficiency and reliability of the manufacturing process.

Equally noteworthy was JETOUR’s commitment to sustainability, which permeated every aspect of the factory’s operations. Solar panels lined the complex, powering a significant portion of the facility, while advanced recycling systems ensured that waste materials were repurposed wherever possible. Robots played a pivotal role in optimizing resource usage, exemplifying the brand’s dedication to eco-conscious manufacturing practices.

Throughout the visit, the enthusiasm and pride of the factory personnel were palpable. The tour concluded with a visit to the final inspection area, where completed vehicles underwent exhaustive quality checks. High-definition cameras and sensors embedded in robotic systems scanned every detail of the cars, ensuring they met the exacting standards for which JETOUR is renowned. Human inspectors worked alongside these machines, providing a final layer of assurance before the vehicles were dispatched to markets worldwide.

As we stepped out of the factory, reflecting on the experience, it became clear that JETOUR’s approach to manufacturing was far more than a series of technical advancements. It represented a profound fusion of innovation, sustainability, and human collaboration. The factory wasn’t just a place where vehicles were made—it was a space where the future of the automotive industry was being shaped, one flawless car at a time.

Musical Magic at Wuhushan Forest Park

Later in the evening, the group headed to Wuhushan Forest Park, a stunning venue surrounded by lush greenery, for a truly unique experience—the JETOUR Musical Festival and Dinner. The event, set against the backdrop of the park’s enchanting natural beauty, was a perfect blend of relaxation and celebration.

The festival kicked off with a lineup of incredible live performances. Chinese folk band Jade Strings enthralled the audience with their fusion of traditional melodies and modern arrangements, setting the tone for the evening. Following them, the pop-rock group Sunbeam brought energy to the stage, while the soulful ballads of renowned singer Mei Ling touched hearts. International flavors were also present, with a surprise performance by a local jazz ensemble that had everyone swaying to smooth tunes under the stars.

One of the most memorable highlights was a heartfelt birthday celebration for attendees born in November and December. Personalized messages and a delightful cake-cutting ceremony made it a touching and inclusive moment. Among those celebrated were Mr. Jameel Arif and Mr. Arshad Mirza, General Manager of the Budastoor Group. Their joyous participation added a personal touch to the evening, reflecting JETOUR’s commitment to building connections beyond business.

The culinary offerings for the dinner were equally impressive. A lavish spread of delicacies showcased the region’s finest flavors, from succulent Fujian seafood dishes to internationally-inspired gourmet options. Every bite was a celebration of the diverse tastes that bring people together, much like the festival itself.

As the night progressed, the festival’s warm and joyous ambiance left a lasting impression, cementing this day as an unforgettable blend of culture, connection, and celebration.

Collaborative Creativity and Vision

The third day shifted focus to collaboration and innovation. The morning was packed with specialized sessions tailored for different groups—distributors, influencers, and media professionals. We attended the Media Co-Create Meeting, a dynamic and interactive session where participants from diverse backgrounds shared marketing strategies and content creation ideas.

This session wasn’t just informative; it was inspiring. Discussions centered on how media could bridge the gap between brands and audiences, leveraging storytelling to create lasting impressions. We left with a treasure trove of ideas, eager to implement them in our future projects.

In the afternoon, the event moved to the grand Fuzhou Straits International Convention and Exhibition Center, the centerpiece of the JETOUR Global Travel+ Conference 2024. The venue exuded sophistication, with elaborate setups that highlighted JETOUR’s vision for the future. Two major announcements stole the spotlight: the launch of JETOUR LIFE, a lifestyle brand that integrates travel and everyday living, and TRAVELER, a global community platform for travel enthusiasts.

The conference underscored JETOUR’s commitment to redefining the travel experience, emphasizing sustainability, connectivity, and inclusivity. The evening concluded with a gala dinner, where the vibrant discussions from the day seamlessly transitioned into lively conversations over exquisite food.

During the conference, Mr. Rexzcy Williams, Brand Manager-Jetour Kuwait (Budastoor Motors) stated that “Jetour is the currently trending Brand in Kuwait and T2 has enhanced the brand reach to all segments of customers”. He also added, “the Jetour Travel Worldwide Conference gave an incredible experience that united the Jetour family across the world, sharing the Jetour language and travel ethos and leaves an indelible mark on the Global Jetour network, enriching bonds and creating lasting memories for all”

Mr. Ke ChuanDeng, (Vice President of JETOUR Auto) underscored JETOUR’s dedication to its core philosophy, noting that “JETOUR has only one mission, which is to make travel better.” This commitment extends to creating comprehensive travel solutions, from user-focused vehicles to lifestyle accessories, to enhance every aspect of the travel journey.

Mr. Ke also highlighted the launch of “TRAVELER,” JETOUR’s global user platform, stating, “TRAVELER is JETOUR’s social platform, and it is the place where every user becomes a traveler. JETOUR will unlock the wonderful Travel+ life by staying close to users, providing good services and experiences, and creating a more pleasant travel experience for users.” This initiative aims to build a global community of travelers, emphasizing collaboration and user engagement to redefine modern travel experiences.

Adventures on Pingtan Island

Excitement reached a new high as we set out for Pingtan Island on the fourth day of our journey. Pingtan, renowned for its stunning coastal landscapes and serene beauty, was the perfect setting for one of the trip’s most anticipated events: the JETOUR test drive experience. This wasn’t just any test drive—it was a meticulously curated event designed to showcase the T1 and T2 models’ exceptional performance across various terrains.

The journey to Pingtan Island itself was scenic, with glimpses of the vast coastline and rolling waves adding to the anticipation. On arrival, we were greeted with breathtaking views and an impressive custom-designed test track. The course featured a diverse mix of rugged and smooth terrains, each section crafted to highlight a different aspect of JETOUR’s engineering prowess. From steep inclines and gravel paths to smooth asphalt stretches, the track promised a comprehensive exploration of the vehicles’ capabilities.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy as participants prepared for their turn behind the wheel. After a quick but thorough briefing on the course and safety protocols, we were introduced to the T1 and T2 models. These vehicles, with their sleek designs and robust builds, immediately captured attention. It was clear that JETOUR had poured immense thought and precision into crafting cars that could effortlessly combine functionality, performance, and style.

The test drive began with the rugged section of the track. Navigating steep hills and uneven gravel paths, the T1 model demonstrated remarkable control and power. The suspension system absorbed shocks effortlessly, ensuring a smooth ride even on the roughest terrain. Its all-wheel-drive capability and advanced traction systems made maneuvering over obstacles feel almost effortless, inspiring confidence in the driver. The engine’s responsiveness was notable, delivering power exactly when and where it was needed.

The T2 model shone on the smoother stretches of the track. Gliding over asphalt with precision and ease, it highlighted its luxurious comfort and seamless handling. The interior design was equally impressive—spacious, ergonomic, and equipped with advanced features that enhanced both driver and passenger experiences. From intuitive touchscreen controls to a state-of-the-art infotainment system, it was clear that JETOUR had prioritized user-friendly technology.

The vehicles were also equipped with intelligent driving assistance features, such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automated braking systems, which added a layer of safety and sophistication to the experience. Even as a test driver, you couldn’t help but appreciate the seamless blend of innovation and practicality in every feature.

As the day unfolded, participants shared their experiences, and a sense of camaraderie grew among the group. It wasn’t just about the cars—it was about the joy of driving, the connection between man and machine, and the shared excitement of discovering new horizons.

Meanwhile, the distributors who accompanied us embarked on a city tour of Shangxiahang, one of Fuzhou’s most iconic historic districts. Shangxiahang, with its charming lanes and traditional architecture, offered a glimpse into the city’s rich cultural heritage. The cobblestone streets, lined with ancient buildings, stood in striking contrast to the sleek modernity of JETOUR’s vehicles. Distributors marveled at the preservation of history in the district while enjoying stories of its significance in Fuzhou’s past. This cultural immersion served as a thoughtful complement to the technological marvels we experienced on the test track.

After returning to the hotel in the afternoon, some of us decided to explore the vibrant Fuzhou City Center. The bustling streets, filled with the hum of local vendors and the allure of illuminated storefronts, were a stark yet delightful contrast to the serenity of Pingtan Island. We wandered through local markets, sampling authentic Fujian cuisine and browsing handmade crafts. The city center offered an opportunity to experience Fuzhou’s contemporary charm, a blend of tradition and modernity that left a lasting impression.

Reflecting on the day’s events, it was clear that JETOUR’s commitment to blending innovation with experience extended far beyond the cars themselves. The test drive was a revelation of the brand’s engineering brilliance, while the cultural explorations enriched our understanding of Fuzhou’s heritage. Together, they made for an unforgettable day that was as much about discovery as it was about adventure.

The company shared impressive sales figures, with over 439,000 units sold from January to October 2024, marking an 89.3% year-on-year increase. They aim to achieve 500,000 annual sales ahead of schedule, a record for a Chinese automaker within six years of establishment.

Immersive Experiences and Collaborations:

Attendees enjoyed factory tours, co-creation meetings, camping events, test drives, and lifestyle product showcases. These events highlighted JETOUR’s integration of travel culture with automotive innovation.
Partnerships with brands like OZtrail, Under Armour, and HEIMPLANET resulted in unique travel products such as inflatable tents, off-road strollers, and foldable bicycles.

Global User Benefits and Initiatives:

A user-focused travel package worth 1.4 billion yuan was unveiled, featuring discounts on global attractions, luxury accommodations, car rentals, and more. The package spans 38 countries, reinforcing JETOUR’s dedication to enhancing travel experiences.
Environmental responsibility was emphasized with the launch of a cheetah conservation initiative in collaboration with Discovery Channel and the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

Lifestyle and Culture:

The “JETOUR LIFE” brand seeks to create a complete travel lifestyle, merging urban and off-road experiences with fun, while fostering a sense of community among travel enthusiasts.
The conference also underscored the brand’s ambitions to expand internationally while showcasing the high-quality innovation of China’s automotive industry to a global audience.
