On Wednesday evening, 28th May 2025, the AlAndalus Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City played host to one of the most anticipated events in Kuwait’s automotive calendar: the People’s Choice Awards 2025, hosted by CP Magazine. The event welcomed a large audience of automotive brand representatives, distinguished guests, and social influencers. Attendees began arriving around 7:00 PM, using the early part of the evening to connect, network, and enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The program officially began at 7:30 PM when the presenter took the stage and introduced the purpose and history behind the event. The evening opened with an introduction to Mr. Jameel Arif, the visionary behind CP Magazine, who started the publication nearly 15 years ago. His role in growing the platform and its influence in Kuwait’s media landscape was recognized. The presenter also introduced Ms. Fatima AlJutaili, the Executive Editor at CP Magazine and Director of the People’s Choice Awards, who has played a leading role in organizing the evening.
To get the audience engaged, the event began with an ice-breaking quiz focused on the automotive industry. Guests enthusiastically participated, and winners received prizes from SHUFFLE and CZAR Perfumes, adding an element of fun and friendly competition to the evening.
Following the quiz, Mr. Jameel Arif and Ms. Fatima AlJutaili were invited on stage, and the award ceremony commenced. Each award was presented by category, and representatives of the winning automotive brands were welcomed on stage to accept the awards and share a few words.
The award for Favourite Executive Car in Kuwait (2024) went to the Audi A6, represented by Fouad Alghanim & Sons Automotive Co. Mr. Sudheer Babu, Head of After Sales, took the stage to express gratitude, saying, “Thanks to CP Magazine for this wonderful event and thank you for selecting the Audi A6 as the Favourite Executive Car in Kuwait by public choice.”
Favourite Fastest Growing Auto Brand in Kuwait (2024) was awarded to JETOUR, represented by Budastoor Motors. Mr. Finn, Middle East Director of Jetour, joined Mr. Najem Budastoor, Chairman of Budastoor Group, on stage to accept the award. Mr. Finn said, “Thank you to the people of Kuwait for making Jetour the fastest-growing brand in Kuwait. More is to come soon from Jetour. I appreciate the efforts of CP Magazine in organizing such an initiative.”
The Favourite Electric Vehicle (EV) in Kuwait (2024) went to the BYD Seal, represented by Al-Ghanim Motor Co. The Favourite Compact Sedan in Kuwait (2024) title was claimed by the MG5, represented by Adel Alghanim Automotive. Mr. Jad Saab, Marketing Manager at MG – Adel Alghanim, shared, “Thank you so much everyone for attending the event. I appreciate all the partners who are joining today. It’s a huge achievement for everyone in the automotive market since we’re all facing the same issues with the current market ups and downs. The reason we’ve got the Favourite Compact Sedan is because MG is one of the most growing affordable brands in Kuwait. At a price point around 3,799 KD, it’s a car that’s on everyone’s shopping list. For the Favourite Family SUV in Kuwait (2024), the winner was Volkswagen Teramont, represented by Behbehani Motors Company. Mr. Ashraf Hassan, Sales Manager, shared his thoughts: “Thank you for organizing this event. It feels like a family gathering. As you can see, the Volkswagen Teramont is the best seller in our showroom. This is the right choice.”
The award for Favourite Mid-Size SUV in Kuwait (2024) went to the JETOUR T2, also represented by Budastoor Motors. Mr. Rexzcy Williams, Brand Manager – Jetour, said, “It’s a moment of great pride and honor to be here for this People’s Choice Award. The people have chosen Jetour T2 as their favorite car in this segment. Thank you, Kuwait, for making Jetour proud. Thank you so much.”
Favourite Full-Size SUV in Kuwait (2024) was awarded to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, represented by Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company. Mr. Issa Abdallah, AGM – Marketing, said, “I would like to thank Jameel and CP Magazine for this initiative. It’s really nice to have this healthy competition. It’s good to see our colleagues and rivals here. We love you. We think about you every day in our competition analysis. It’s great to see your faces today. Keep it up.”
The Favourite Adventure-Ready Vehicle in Kuwait (2024) was once again JETOUR T2, making it a double win for the brand. The award was collected by Yousef Budastoor, PR Manager at Budastoor Motors. He thanked Mr. Jameel Arif for arranging the event and wished Jetour continued growth.
The Favourite Luxury Sports Car in Kuwait (2024) was the iconic Porsche 911, represented by Behbehani Motors Company. Ms. Razan Khoury, Assistant Marketing Manager at Porsche Centre Kuwait, said, “Thank you very much. On behalf of Behbehani Motors Company and Porsche Centre Kuwait, we would like to thank the people for choosing the 911. And thank you Jameel and the team for presenting such an initiative for us and giving us a chance to meet in such a place.”
The award for Favourite Equipped SUV in Its Class in Kuwait (2024) was given to the Geely Coolray, represented by Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive. Ms. Alaa Rezk, Marketing Specialist at Geely, said, “I would like to thank Mr. Jameel and the CP Magazine team. I’d also like to congratulate our friends from other brands. At Geely, we are so happy to take this award. We feel very honored and proud that we hear the people’s thoughts.”
The Favourite Legend 4×4 SUV in Kuwait (2024) went to the Jeep Wrangler, represented by Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company. The award was received with gratitude, marking another win for Jeep on this prestigious evening.
For Favourite Family Sedan in Kuwait (2024), the Toyota Camry took the honor. The car is represented in Kuwait by Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Co.
The same company, Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons, also received the award for Favourite Value-for-Money Auto Brand in Kuwait (2024), recognizing Toyota‘s popularity and consistent presence in the market.
Finally, Favourite Stylish Car in Kuwait (2024) was awarded to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, represented by Al Mulla Automobiles.
Throughout the evening, Mr. Humoud AlShaeen from CP Magazine conducted live interviews with the winners at the Press Corner. His conversations captured the excitement and thoughts of the award recipients, giving attendees further insight into the significance of each win.
To wrap up the ceremony, all the winners were invited on stage for a group photo to commemorate the occasion. Following this, dinner was served. Guests enjoyed a relaxed and social meal, reflecting on the awards and the celebratory spirit of the evening.
The People’s Choice Awards 2025 was an evening of appreciation, recognition, and community spirit.
