The spectacular Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept car made its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show this week, embodying the brand’s vision of the future and a new expression of its identity. Created by Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, with Cuorerosso, Alfa Romeo returns to its most authentic heart and begins a new chapter in its design, with a new interpretation of style, function, and technology.

With contemporary flair, Cuorerosso reimagines the hallmarks that have always made an Alfa Romeo immediately recognizable: beauty, sportiness, the Italian spirit and, above all, emotion and driving pleasure. Together, they inform its proportions, materials and details, as well as its name, which joins “cuore” (heart) and “rosso” (red). The concept is guided by Alfa Romeo’s design philosophy, “Bellezza Necessaria” meaning Necessary Beauty, which removes the superfluous so that aesthetics, functionality, technology and quality work as one.

Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO, said: “Alfa Romeo has always created cars that are capable not only of moving people, but of arousing something within them. It is this human-machine connection, fueled by a unique culture of the Italian spirit, sportiness and passion, which makes each of our cars an Alfa Romeo. With Cuorerosso, we bring this identity into the future, one open to different energy solutions, in which technology, function and quality are always at the service of emotions and driving pleasure. This is our idea of Bellezza Necessaria: to create cars designed for those who love to drive, which can interpret their time and simultaneously become icons.”

The 2+2 coupé measures 4,700 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,331 mm high, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase. Its uninterrupted form, truncated rear (Coda Tronca) and integrated diffuser contribute to a drag coefficient of 0.28. At the front, the Trilobo and Scudetto are reinterpreted in a contemporary light signature; at the rear, a Scudetto-shaped window and two circular lamps complete the design. The Quadrifoglio emblem signals the concept’s sporting intent while its Liquid Ink Red finish gives the bodywork a shifting depth.

Inside, the cabin combines tactile materials with contemporary, lightweight surfaces. The layout places the driver at the centre of a purposeful, immersive space. The “Cannocchiale Vivente” instrument display shifts between two configurations, including a more focused mode that reduces information to what is essential. A mix of digital surfaces and tactile controls, including the “Magma Display” on the central tunnel, keeps interaction direct. Three driving experiences – Cruise, Sport and Quadrifoglio – adapt the car’s responses to the desired level of engagement.

The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso points to a future range designed for different needs, with multi-energy architectures and models up to 4.7 metres long. Alfa Romeo is exploring full-electric, plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid and full-hybrid solutions, with the potential for Quadrifoglio versions. For Cuorerosso, a 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid configuration with Q4 all-wheel drive is one expression of how electrification could support the brand’s performance character.

Cuorerosso makes Alfa Romeo’s “Bellezza Necessaria” tangible: beauty shaped by purpose, with every detail earning its place. Italian craftsmanship, sporting character and technology converge in a form designed to engage the senses and strengthen the connection between car and driver. It carries Alfa Romeo’s design language forward while remaining unmistakably rooted in the brand’s identity.
