Debuts at Goodwood Festival of Speed, Setting New Benchmark for High-Performance EVs
Hyundai Motor Company revealed the IONIQ 6 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking a key step in the electrification of its high-performance N division. Building on its electric motorsport roots, Hyundai N continues to push the limits of EV performance with this latest debut.
At the heart of IONIQ 6 N is a focus on exhilarating, engaging driving, following Hyundai N’s three-pillar philosophy: Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar. It’s built to thrill on the track while delivering everyday comfort and usability.
Technical highlights include reengineered suspension geometry, an improved N e-Shift system for virtual gear changes, and enhanced sound quality through upgraded acoustic tuning. These features contribute to a more immersive and responsive driving experience, demonstrating Hyundai N’s performance-first approach to EVs.
Producing 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque, the IONIQ 6 N sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 257 km/h. A revamped N Battery system offers advanced thermal management and rapid conditioning for consistent track-ready performance.
Aerodynamic upgrades such as a swan neck rear wing and flared arches enhance both stability and visual impact. New Performance Blue Pearl paint adds depth to its striking design.
The chassis and suspension have been thoroughly revised to balance sharp handling with ride comfort. Stroke sensing ECS dampers adapt to various conditions, improving ride quality and precision on road or track.
Advanced control software elevates the driving experience. N Active Sound+ provides selectable sound profiles from motorsport-inspired to sci-fi while N e-Shift simulates gear changes for added driver engagement. N Ambient Shift Light adds visual cues for performance driving.
Track enthusiasts benefit from the N Track Manager, offering live data, ghost laps, and detailed analytics. The N Drift Optimizer lets drivers fine-tune drift characteristics to match their style and skill level.
A range of N performance parts will also be available, allowing further customisation and on-track capability.

At Goodwood, Hyundai N celebrates this milestone with an exclusive booth near the iconic Hillclimb start line. Visitors can explore the full electrified N line-up, including the new IONIQ 6 N with optional performance parts, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 5 N TA Spec.
Festival highlights include the ‘N Moment’ demo run on 10 July a dynamic showcase featuring the full N fleet, including IONIQ 6 N, i30 N, RN24, and WRC rally cars. The event underscores Hyundai’s commitment to thrilling, high-performance EVs and a bold future in electrified motorsport.
